About

There is a certain kind of confidence that only comes from knowing yourself. For Onoleigh, getting there has been the story behind the music. The Illinois native began making regular trips to Nashville at 16, eventually finding her footing on the city’s famed Broadway circuit. Night after night, she learned how to hold a room, first through the sheer force of her voice and later by discovering that the most powerful moments did not always have to be the loudest ones. That balance has become central to who Onoleigh is as an artist. Her music lives somewhere between the vivid storytelling of country and the emotional depth of soul, pairing powerhouse vocals with writing that is intimate, direct and unafraid to sit in the complicated parts of being human.

Her 2025 debut EP, First Rodeo, introduced that voice to a wider audience and has since surpassed one million streams. Across the project, Onoleigh earned praise for her “bold, emotionally charged” writing from All Country News, while Tennessee Star highlighted her “powerhouse vocals and vivid storytelling” and MusicRow praised the “remarkable force and confidence” of her delivery. On stage, that same voice has led to performances alongside KT Tunstall, Smokey Robinson and John Oates. But as her career has grown, so has her understanding of the kind of artist she wants to be.

Her latest chapter, Love Bomb, finds Onoleigh at her most honest yet. Created alongside 5X GRAMMY® nominated producer, engineer and mixer Paul Moak, the project explores what happens when the dust settles and you finally begin seeing yourself, your relationships and your patterns clearly. There are no easy villains and no perfect endings. Instead, songs like “Never Beg A Man,” “Copy & Paste,” “Nothing At All” and “Losing Me In You” trace the space between heartbreak and self awareness, vulnerability and conviction, knowing better and finally choosing differently. The result is a sound that feels both expansive and deeply personal. Country storytelling meets soul. Power meets restraint. And the voice that once learned how to command a crowded Nashville room now knows when to whisper.

That sense of purpose extends beyond the stage. A graduate of the University of Missouri with a degree in social work, Onoleigh is also the founder of OVATION, a Nashville based live music series that brings original artists together with nonprofits and community driven causes. For Onoleigh, this chapter is not about becoming someone new. It is about finally sounding like herself.
